Customers can leverage the power of Tanium first-hand in their own environment with a POC at no cost to the customer.
The 3 stages involved in the POC process are:
1. Preparation : This stage involves going through a series of questions to get an understanding of the customer’s environment to scope for the POC. A pre-implementation check list will also be provided to the customer to complete prior to start of POC. The scope of end points to be used for the POC will also be determined in this stage.
2. Execution : Tanium client installation will be carried out across the endpoints identified in stage 1. This needs to happen using the customer’s existing deployment method. Any support required will be provided (including a GPO start up script).
3. Close-Out : This stage will involve presenting both POC results and an IT Hygiene assessment. The presentation will cover use case, recommendations and next steps.
Tech Data can deploy Tanium for your customers on Tanium cloud or On-premises. The stages for deployment are;

Tanium on-premises deployment will involve additional tasks of deploying Tanium servers, module/zone server.

Below are the 3 high-level steps for conducting the Risk Assessment for a customer or prospect:
Step 1: Pre-Execution
This involves working with customers to highlight the value of the assessment, validate pre-requisites, confirm readiness of environment, and submit POC request.
Step 2: Execution
This stage involves configuring Tanium platform for the assessment and deployment of the Tanium client on all relevant endpoints in the environment. Follow the process to ensure all modules are set up correctly.
Step 3 : Post – Execution
In this stage, data is exported from the Tanium platform and a Risk Assessment report is created. The assessment will be presented to key customer stakeholders.
After the assessment is presented to stakeholders, the customer can choose to go to a POC or go live.
