Andy Barry brings rich IT experience to his leadership role at Tech Data. He has led vendor-side direct and channel operations for multinational companies, incorporating acquisitions, early-stage ventures and full-scale business turnarounds. He applies design thinking to the big questions of strategy for Tier 1 and ASX listed businesses. His vast expertise spans managed services and BPO, from on-premise to offshore and into the cloud; as well as systems integration and software consulting.
Ariel Polanco

Ariel Polanco has been a leading IBM technologist for over 20 Years. He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and an IBM Quantum Ambassador. Ariel holds a Dr. Sc degree in Theoretical Physics and a PhD in Mathematics. From 1994 to 1996 he was an associate professor of Mathematical Physics at the Universities of Moscow and Munich. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the IBM Partner Ecosystem. Fluent in English, German, Russian and Spanish.
Thomas Maddocks

Thomas is leading the greatest transformation of IBM Australia’s Ecosystem in its 90-year history to better align to the new ways in which IT organisations are evolving and going to market. Thomas has a BA (Hons) in International Business and MPhil in Small Business Strategy plus over a decade of experience working with IBM Business Partners and Clients to leverage technology to develop their businesses. Thomas is passionate about collaborating with IBM and its partners, to drive new opportunities.
Adam Makarucha
IBM AI Technical Specialist
Dr Adam Makarucha is a Senior Data Scientist with a passion for creating innovative solutions that solve real world problems. Over the past 7 years Adam has worked as an AI researcher at IBM Research and an AI solutions specialist for IBM Systems, helping customers take advantage of state-of-the-art AI to drive growth in their business. He currently co-creates data and AI solutions with customers as a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead for IBM Client Engineering in Australia and New Zealand.
Brian Grant
Thales ANZ Director
Brian is responsible for Thales’ Data Protection business across ANZ. His technology career began over 40 years ago, when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force at the age of 15. Since then, he has had extensive experience delivering innovative technology solutions, with an emphasis on networking and cybersecurity, and has held country and regional leadership roles in technology start-ups. Brian is committed embedding security to assure confidentiality, integrity and availability in our data dependent world.
